  • An exam under way: the dentist’s mirror and probe move over the upper teeth.

    Dental exam

A dental exam assesses the condition of the teeth, the gums and the tissues of the mouth. Done regularly, it helps catch a problem at an early stage, before it worsens and calls for a longer procedure. Depending on what it shows, the professional may recommend X-rays or specific follow-up.

  • An ultrasonic scaler and a mirror clean a patient’s teeth.

    Dental cleaning

Professional dental cleaning, including professional scaling, removes the tartar and plaque that build up despite good daily hygiene. It helps prevent cavities, gingivitis and periodontal disease, while contributing to good oral health. The cleaning also comes with advice suited to your hygiene habits.

  • A retractor holds the mouth open while an instrument works under the gum.

    Root planing and curettage

Root planing and curettage are non-surgical procedures that remove the bacteria and tartar lodged in the periodontal pockets and along the roots of the teeth. The treatment is carried out under local anaesthetic and takes two to four sessions, depending on how severe the problem is and how many teeth are affected.

  • Close-up of the line where the teeth meet the gum.

    Gum grafting

In some patients the gum gradually recedes and exposes the root: this is gum recession. When it comes from an unsuitable brushing technique, simply reviewing that technique can be enough to stop it progressing. When a graft is the chosen option, it involves taking tissue from the palate and grafting it at the affected site.

Several of our treatments can be done under conscious sedation. Talk to one of our professionals about it. More about conscious sedation

Great service! The attention is very good and the service is high quality. Best dental clinic I have ever been. Things were well explained and I got the best advice on how to get my teeth fixed. I got my parents to switch clinics to there. Highly recommended.

Frequently asked questions

Is there an elevator and parking?

Yes. The clinic is in suite 200 and the building has an elevator; there is parking on site. That helps if you are coming with a stroller or if getting around is difficult.

Do you see patients in English?

Yes. The team works in French and in English, and the whole site exists in both languages: the “Français” link at the top of every page leads to the same page translated.

How late are you open?

Until 8 p.m. on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays; until 5 p.m. on Monday and until 4 p.m. on Friday. The evenings exist precisely for schedules that do not fit the daytime.

What happens on a first visit?

It starts with your history and your medications, then comes the examination of the teeth, the gums and the tissues of the mouth. You are then told what was observed and what the options are. The “First visit” page sets out what to bring.
